Performance

Multi-disciplinary performances featuring, at times, hundreds of collaborators. Many of the works were created by Martin for New Orleans Airlift (2009-2022). The works explored many subjects - histories, folkloric practices, social issues - but they were always about human connection. The work seeded countless ongoing relationships across wildly different communities and individuals. It also seeded an artistic institution, Music Box Village, that is now being carried forward by others.
